FortiLink over Trunk Ports (Port A+B on FortiGate to Port 23+24 on FortiSwitch) – Not Working

To set up FortiLink over a trunk connection using multiple ports for redundancy and increased throughput, follow these steps:

1. Ensure Compatibility: Verify that both the FortiGate 60F and FortiSwitch 124F-POE support FortiLink over a trunk connection. Both devices should be running compatible firmware versions.
   
   
2. Configure FortiLink on FortiGate:
   - Access the FortiGate CLI.
   - Configure the FortiLink interface to include both ports A and B. This can be done by creating a software switch or using link aggregation (LACP) if supported.
   
   
3. Configure FortiSwitch:
   - Access the FortiSwitch CLI or GUI.
   - Create a trunk (LACP) group including ports 23 and 24.
   - Ensure that the trunk is configured to use LACP if the FortiGate is set up for LACP.
   
   
4. FortiLink Configuration:
   - On the FortiGate, ensure that the FortiLink interface is set to manage the FortiSwitch.
   - Verify that the FortiLink interface is configured to use the trunk ports.
   
   
5. Check VLAN and Tagging:
   - Ensure that VLANs are properly configured and tagged on both the FortiGate and FortiSwitch.
   - The FortiLink VLAN should be consistent across both devices.
   
   
6. Testing and Validation:
   - After configuration, test the connection to ensure the FortiSwitch is recognized by the FortiGate.
   - Check the status of the LACP group to ensure it is active and functioning correctly.
