Question

Fortigate VM - Limitations SSL-Decryption

Hi!

I am just doing some tests with a FG-VM and SSL-Decryption, but although my Proxy-Policy for the Explicit-Web-Proxy contains a "Full-Decryption"-Profile, https-traffic is not intercepted.

Are there any license-limitations, that avoid SSL-Decryption?

Thank you for your help!

    hi,

are you using a trial VM? They have limited encryption support.

And TLS v1.3 is not yet supported.

    Any logs?

    Hi!

Sorry for the late response. You are absolutely right: The evaluation-license does not allow decryption. That was not clear to me. The release notes only show:

FortiGate VM includes a limited embedded 15-day trial license that supports:

[ul]1 CPU maximum1024 MB memory maximumlow encryption only (no HTTPS administrative access)all features except FortiGuard updates[/ul]

    Thank you for your help!
