Fortigate Upgrade from v7.2.11

You can still upgrade it to any 7.4.x (7.4.11 is the lastest) if your FGT has support. Since upgrade from 7.2.11 to 7.4.11 is just one step process, you can assume upgrading to any 7.4.x would be one step upgrade too. I don't see any reason not to choose 7.4.11 though.

Just be aware that if your FGT's support has expired long time ago and never got the support back, when you upgrade it to 7.4.9 or above, you might not be able to log in again. 7.4.9 got that strict restriction added to the firmware. I tested it with an old 60E-POE that its support has expired long time ago by upgrading it to 7.4.11, and couldn't get in either CLI or GUI. FTNT seemed to have decided to get rid of the 2nd hand markets. 

 
Only way to recover it from the situation was to flush the boot drive and upload 7.4.8 then reboot. Obviously I've lost all configuration through the process.

Hello Toshi,

When I login to fortigate console, I see the upgrade is only to 7.2.13 nothing shown on 7.4.x.

I went to https://docs.fortinet.com/upgrade-tool/fortigate if there is upgrade path for mine. I am not sure which product model my fortigate is.

How do I find out which product model my fortigate is ?
