Fortigate hangs on ' system starting'

I recently bought a secondhand Fortigate 800. When I switch it on, the front panel shows ' system starting' and the progress bar goes up to 2 or 3 bars, then just stops. Anything I can try? Am I missing something here?

    Hi, attach a serial console cable and have a look at the output oft the boot-process there! I would reformat the flash and reinstall the firmware! If this does not work you might have a hardware problem! br, Roman
