FortiGate HA with Reserved Mgmt Interface

Hi All,

As we all know that when we configure the FortiGate HA with reserved management interface, we are assigning a dedicated management link for both FortiGate firewall within the HA.

I would like to check with you guys if this is the case, will the FortiManager sees it as two (2) entity or just still one (1) as far the FortiManager license is concerned?

Thank you.

It will still be seen as 1 license.  You don't want to add the Fortigate with its dedicated mgmt port ip, you should use a shared interface for that traffic.  Even if you add it with the dedicated port, when you failover, the other device is going to reach out to Fortimanager and used a shared IP instead.
