Fortigate Client VPN internet access for the client

Hello everyone, I have set up an IPSEC VPN , client connects fine, browses remote LAN but it loses the capability of browsing websites with its internet connection, as soon as it disconnects from the VPN , internet is restored.

 

Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

I think that you choose  Split tunneling option to  disabled so it will route all traffic to VPN tunnel, and if no internet  policy for it, then you cant access internet. Pls switch to  "Enabled Based on Policy Destination" on SSL VPN Portal settings. 

Also pls check if the DNS server can resolve ip to domain after vpn established, it may set VPN DNS server to primary and cant resolve hostname to ip because no DNS allow policy matched
