Fortigate and PPOE

Hi Everyone,

I'm fairly new to Fortinet devices (around 1Y) and for a while I've used PPOE with a modem and it worked well enough.

But recently I've run into issues configuring PPOE on a 60F, no matter what I do or which Modem I use, there is no way to synchronize with the DSL line, is it a configuration issue ? 

We are also not sure if PPOE is the way to go, maybe it would work better if we used a manual IP or DHCP and a router to deal with the PPOE sync ?
