Fortigate and NSX vmware

Hi, 

I struggle finding anything usefull on this online. Then again, I might be searching for something that dont excist..

I have a FG1000D setup in a lab. And this other guys art the office has some NSX stuff also in a lab. So I find this button on my Global settings, under Security Fabric (I'm on 6.0.1 btw) - FABRIC Connector.. I Do an NSX Connector to the NSX lab.. and, all goes green. Connected and all fine..  ..but what now ? 

Can anyone tell me what that connector actually will give me ? Or any doc, not related to fgtVM, that can explain it ? .. or is it so that this connector is useless unless I have some vmfortigate stuff running within wmvare ?
