Question

Fortigate aggregate fortilink + MCLAG FortiSwitchA and FortiSwitchB

Hello,

I followed this KB  https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortiswitch/7.0.8/devices-managed-by-fortios/801194/deploying-mclag-topologies.

This is my topology:

Aggregate FGT (x1,x2) set lacp-mode active and Fortilink split interface disable.

FGT x1 --> port23 FortiSwitchA

FGT x2 --> port23 FortiSwitchB

port 24 FortiSwitchA --> port 24 FortiSwitchB

port 25 FortiSwitchA --> port 25 FortiSwitchB

This is the topology

but I would have expected a topology like that

topology2.png

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for the support.

Hi Luca

Here if your FortiLink interface has two interfaces x1 and x2 then it seems only one is connected.

Hello @AEK ,

I confirm that both interfaces x1 and x2 are connected.

The strange thing is the topology. I would expect a single MC-LAG Peer Group, but instead I see two separate ones. Could this be because x2 is not up?
