FortiGate 60F downgrade

Hi All,

I hope you are having a great day.

Upgraded to FortiOS 7.2 and noticed there are 2 SFP ( grayed out ) under Network > Interfaces while there are no physical SFP ports. Also, I have missing "Firmware" menu under "System". Now I cannot downgrade to the previous firmware. I am new to Fortigate device. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I don't know anything about 7.2 because I never tried it yet. But at least I know how to switch back to the previous version. See below:

Hello asarwar,

Thank you for contacting Fortinet Community page

You can refer to the below to downgrade the Firmware.

Important point to remember when downgrading - you will be able to Restore (i.e. upload complete configuration) the configuration after the downgrade only if the configuration matches the Firmware version - the firmware version is saved in configuration backup file as its header, so it can be checked before by opening in the Notepad. That is, if you have back up of configuration that say FortiOS 6.4.8, then downgrade the FGT to the version 6.4.8.
