Fortigate 60C and FAP221B with different Firmware

Hi

Do you guys know if its possible to manage a AccessPoint with FortiOS 5.4 with a Fortigate 60C FortiOS 5.2.5? I noticed that you cannot downgrade the access point from 5.4 and I don't want to end up in a situation where I cannot manage the upgraded AP in my Fortigate.
