Hi,

I have a FortiGate 40F v6.4.15 build2095 (GA)

If I upgrade the firmware to upper versions, will it keep all my custom settings ?

hi,

all settings should be preserved but for the upper version that you will upgrade to ( i would suggest following the upgrade path also : https://docs.fortinet.com/upgrade-tool/fortigate ) it's best to read the release notes for it to ensure that those 'custom' settings will still be available.
