Hi, I'm creating a new FortiAP Profile on my FortiGate 100F, but there is no option to select FAP-231E-E as a platform

I have Firmwarev6.0.2 build6215 (GA)

Do I just need a newer firmware? I have looked through the release notes for newer firmwares, but I cant see directly if they added support for these AP

I have had better luck running the 100F's on the latest 6.2.X code that is available for them.

Even on the 6.2.x branch, to control the FAP 231E your FortiGate needs a special firmware release, per https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortiap/6.2.3/fortiap-s-and-fortiap-w2-release-notes/739095/introduction.

If the FAP 231E is on the 6.0.x branch, per https://docs.fortinet.com/document/fortiap/6.0.5/fortiap-s-and-fortiap-w2-release-notes/472811/introduction, you still need a special firmware for the FortiGate.  That document implies, but doesn't directly state, that it can only be managed by 6.2.x.  It could mean that there is a special 6.0.x FortiGate firmware for it, or not...  I'd contact TAC.

Thanks, I tried upgrading to 6.2.x newest version but the FAP231E was not in the list of available AP profiles

After receiving this special firmware from fortinet support and upgrading the 100F, the FAP231E was listed in the AP profiles and everything's working
