FortiGate 100D with 2x SFP Shared Ports

The FortiGate 100D has 2x GE SFP Shared Ports. Is it right that this ports can be used as WAN Ports ? thanks

    Any port can be used for any purpose. I' m using my wan1 & wan2 ports on my 80C for internal and DMZ ports because they are 1Gb ports. (and the DMZ port for my WAN... Confusing, eh? )

    Same here Bob. I do a double take whenever I look at the policies on that firewall!

    As a tip: either use aliases on the interfaces, then both ' hard-wired' and custom descriptions show up in the policy table. Or create a zone with the intended name and put just 1 interface into it. From there on, use the zone instead. Advantage: only the zone name shows up, and no performance penalty at all.
