Hello,

A company has registered their FortiGate device under their own FortiGate Cloud account. If I change it to my own FortiCloud account, will I lose my Forti license?

Hi @phoenixagro ,

Once the FGT is registered, I don't think that you can register it again in a second account.  It will prompt you with an error message, something like " this device has been registered".

If you really need to migrate this FGT device into a second account, this has to be done by our CS team and our CS team will ask for approval from the master ID of the first FortiCloud account.

If the master ID of the first account approves this migration, the FGT device will be migrated to the second account along with the support contract.

Hello,

I kindly request that my FortiGate product be registered and transferred to the email address I will specify. I would like to initiate the process through Customer Service (CS). What steps should I follow to proceed with this?

Hi @phoenixagro ,

You can ask the current device owner to create the CS ticket. If he/she does not want to create this ticket, he/she will most likely not transfer this device to you.
