FortiClientVPNInstaller 7.4.3.4726 and 7.4.3.8758 Version Confusion

Hi,

I would like to understand whether FortiClientVPNInstaller 7.4.3.4726 requires version 7.4.3.8758 to be installed in order to fix vulnerabilities.

I’m using ManageEngine Patch Manager, and it says that I need to upgrade to version 7.4.3.8758. However, I cannot find this version anywhere.

Did you check on the support portal?

It should be found under Download > Firmware Image > FortiClient > 7.4.3.

Otherwise if I’m not wrong I think the latest downloadable FCT VPN “should” already be in the fixed version (build 8758).

Go to the Fortinet support portal and click on firmware download section and select FortiClient as the product list.

Download the FortiClientTools_7.4.3.8758.zip file from the Fortinet Support website.
Unzip the file and copy the FortiClientTools_7.4.3.8758\SupportUtils\hotfix.exe file to the Downloads folder.
Shutdown FortiClient and run the following installation command in PowerShell:
```
C:\Users\ftntt\Downloads>cmd /k hotfix.exe
```
When the Hotfix 7.4.3.8758 is now installed message is displayed, verify the following:
- The C:\windows\system32\driver\fortips_74.sys file has been updated (check modification date)
- The C:\Program Files\Fortinet\FortiClient\resources\app.asar file has been updated (check modification date)
- The FortiClient version is 7.4.3 hotfix 1.8758 in the About page of the FortiClient GUI.
