FortiClient will not open when environment variable NODE_OPTIONS is present

Windows 10 Pro

Node.js 12.18.3

 In my system environment variables I have added a NODE_OPTIONS variable. This prevents FortiClient from opening.

It does not matter what value the variable has. As long as a variable with name NODE_OPTIONS exists, FortiClient will not function.
