FortiClient VPN only version 7.4.4.x for Mac

I am getting vulnerability warnings from NIST, which indicate I need to be using version 7.4.4.x of FortiClient, but your website does not provide beyond version 7.4.3.1761 for the VPN only version. Please provide an update for the VPN only version. https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2025-31365

Hi,

Good luck. The FortiClient VPN Only version is Freeware and Fortinet is not providing support.

I am trying for almost 2 months already to get a solution. I have submitted several tickets trough support based on a Forigate serial to get answers.

They keep returning saying the FortiClient VPN Only is freeware and to get it to the Forticlient team I should purchase a valid licence to the Forticlient.

I hope to get answers by using the Customer Satisfaction Survey in support and rate them 1 star. They don't seem to like that. I got a pretty quick response on that.
In the response they say the following: The only support available to you would be through the Fortinet forums for the FortiClient. Obviously Fortinet is not reading the forums!

Replied and waiting for their response.

I am unsure why Fortinet continues to sell the FortiGate product with the benefit of a free app for VPN access and then refuses to update the app when known vulnerabilities in the app are discovered.

you can use the free/built-in VPN functionality of your OS.

if i'm not mistaken, until a few months ago, Fortinet was the one of the few of the 'big' vendors in Gartner Quadrant which didnt require you to buy seats/licenses for vpn users with the FortiGate, unlike other vendors.
