I tried to get a copy of the macOS offline installer for the Forticlient (VPN only), but the last post leads to a dead link.

Ahhh I’ve found out what I was going on.
I was trying to download the Forticlient VPN-only version from the latest version 7.4.7 folder.
However, like the Windows client, the VPN version was last updated with 7.4.3, sure enough the offline installer is in the 7.4.3 folder.

To download the FortiClient offline installer from the support website, you need an account and a valid support contract for at least one device. (FortiGate)

Please follow the steps below to download the installer package:

Log in to the Fortinet Support portal at https://support.fortinet.com/.
Navigate to the Support menu.
Select Firmware Download, then choose Firmware Images.
In the "Select Product" dropdown menu, choose FortiClient.
Click the Download tab.

That is what I did (we have several Fortigates), but the MacOS downloads only gave installers for:

FortiClient_DEM_7.4.7…

 and FortiClientTools_7.4.7…

Neither of these appears to be the VPN only Forticlient installer.

There is also a script, but that appear to mention upgrading the VPN-only client to the full version.
