Question

FortiClient VPN 7.4.3 hotfix 1.8758 can't connect

I have trouble connecting using FortiClient VPN version 7.4.3 hotfix 1.8758 and the latest Windows 11 25H2 update. After entering my login and password, I don't get any connection status feedback – I only get a "disconnect" button, which, when pressed, freezes the program and shows "disconnecting" all the time. I also have FortiClient VPN with an earlier hotfix version on other devices and have no connection issues but installing older version is not a solution, so I will be thankful for any advice.

Did you try 7.2.13?

You can download it from support portal. The file name is FortiClientVPNSetup_7.2.13.1284_x64.exe.

Good day,

We are experiencing the same issue with FortiClient VPN 7.4.3 Hotfix 1 (7.4.3.8758). Previously, we were using FortiClient VPN 7.4.3.1790, which functioned without any issues.

After recently downloading and installing 7.4.3 Hotfix 1 (7.4.3.8758) from the Fortinet support site https://www.fortinet.com/support/product-downloads , the client successfully connects to the VPN, but shortly afterward it disconnects and the application closes unexpectedly.

Could you please advise where on the support portal you obtained the FortiClientVPNSetup installer? I would like to attempt installing another 7.4.x build that aligns with our current firewall firmware version 7.4.11 (Mature).

Any guidance would be appreciated.

When you downlading for forticlient website it automatically download the latest version. Currently I'm using version 7.2.12 but I can't remember when I found it. If you want I can give you the installer on some hosting page because I still have .exe file.

Yes I tried and it works but I wanted to find a solution for that or find out what's causing a problem.

I've seen many cases where 7.4.3 was incompatibilities with some NIC drivers and Windows updates.

If changing NIC driver doesn't help then bes thing to do now is to use 7.2.13 until a new 7.4.x version is released .
