Good morning

When downloading FortiClient VPN 7.2 MSI (latest) from here, https://www.fortinet.com/support/product-downloads the hash of the file is different than that of the file available from here https://support.fortinet.com/Download/FirmwareImages.aspx

The file shown at the top of this screenshot is from here - https://support.fortinet.com/Download/FirmwareImages.aspx

The file shown at the bottom of this screenshot is from here - https://www.fortinet.com/support/product-downloads

They are both FortiClient.msi v7.2.3.0929 x64 but the hash of both files differs. This makes no sense.

Please rectify this.

Will recommend you to download always from /Download/FirmwareImages.aspx

That's not really an answer to my question.

They both install the same software at the end of the day, so why is the file hash different?

Also, not everyone has access to /Download/FirmwareImages.aspx.

Hi Scot,

Not sure, but as per me when we download from the products/download it provides the online installer which downloads the file online during execution of installer.  I tried just now based on the URL you provided.
