Forticlient updates av signatures offline

Hi,

 

I have some forticlient installed on pc's without internet connection so i need to know if i can use fortiems as a source to update forticlient av signatures or if internet connection is required.

You can't use EMS for as an update server source for the signatures, but you can use a FortiManager if you have one in your environment. It's configured in Endpoint Profiles > System Settings

Thanks's this was also my question...

But do you know why there is no option to set the FortiClient EMS Server to download the signatures, because the client talks already to the EMS and takes some information from there...
And we only have the FortiClient EMS and not Manager. :)

Hi Padi,

 

I think you know actually but if not i would like to confirm that there is only 2 ways for download signature:

- directly from fortiguard on Internet

- directly from fortimanager
