FortiClient through VmWare

Hi there, I'd like to know how to configure FortiClient VPN to work with a Vmware instance where the host machine rruns forticlient and the vmware instance piggybacks off the Forticlient network adapter. Currently this configuration doesnt work in Vmware. Not sure if it's related to encryption or strict access to the adapter. Kind regards
