FortiClient SSLVPN won't connect on new laptop - gets to 10% and stops

Fresh Windows 10 install on a Surface 4 Pro. Installed the client and added the FortiClient SSLVPN. Launch FortiClient SSLVPN and click on connect and it stops instantly. If I keep clicking I can see it getting to 10 and that's it. All this happens in the blink of an eye. Works fine on another machine. Not sure what I am missing.

If I connect with the FortiClient app it connects fine. Want to use the FortiSSLVPNclient.exe since I have some scripts that use it.
