Hello FCT admins

FCT/EMS 7.4.0.

On my Linux I have 2 software detected as PUS: ipscan and pgadmin4.

I wanted to test the feature on Windows 10 so I installed the 2 above tools on a Windows client.

The new software was inventoried however they are not detected as PUA.

Does PUA function the same way on Linux and Windows?

Why these apps are detected PUA on Linux but not on Windows?

        Hi AEK, 

        Regarding your issue, I can reproduce the same behavior. 

        A following bug report has been raised against the behavior. 

        1073166 - 

        Potential Inconsistency in PUA Detection for pgAdmin4 and IPScan.


        Can you please create a support ticket to follow up on the situation?

          Hello Anil

          The ticket has been created and I'll share the updates.

          Regarding the mentioned bug report, is it only related to pgAdmin4 and IPScan?

          Do you have any other PUA example that actually work on Windows? So far I tested just with those two ones and they didn't work.

            Hi AEK, 

            That is correct specified bug has already been reported against pgadminv4 and IPscan. 

            If you have any other applications that you are facing please include them in the corresponding support ticket. So far I have not seen any earlier reported behavior against PUA.

              Following investigation by TAC support, development team said the behavior is normal and expected, since both ipscan and pgadmin4 are actually PUA on Linux but not PUA on Windows, due to due to the different publishers that's being reported for the mentioned tools on Windows and on Linux.
