Forticlient on domain controllers registering 169.x.x.x address for DC name

Is there anyway besides disabling the adapter to prevent this?  It comes back eveytime an update is pushed.  Just unchecking the "register in dns" option does not work, I have to disable the virtual ethernet adapter, then do ipconfig /flushdns & ipconfig /registerdns to fix it.  Its a pain in an environment with 30 DC's...
