FortiClient Mac - DNS issue

Hi, 

Were using FortiClient 6.4.2 on Mac's and we are able to resolve FQDN's but are not able to resolve hostnames without FQDN.

I followed the steps from here https://kb.fortinet.com/kb/documentLink.do?externalID=FD37484 and can ping without fqdn on the cli on the FortiGate but it's still not working for the Mac users!
