FortiClient linux profile directory

I'm trying to bake a FortiClient install into an Ansible playbook but am unable to have it import the profile exported from EMS. 

Could someone confirm in which directory the client looks for the profile on Ubuntu, for example? The config I have has a .conf extension but it's just XML inside. 

In the UI the restore button is grayed out, so even getting the user to manually do it doesn't look like an option.
