FortiClient for macOS: Auto-Focus on FortiToken Input Field for Improved UX

Hello,

I’m using FortiClient Console on macOS with FortiToken for 2FA, and I have a small suggestion that could improve the user experience.

 

When the Token window opens for entering the FortiToken code, it would be a significant improvement if the input field were automatically focused. At present, the user has to manually click the input field with the mouse, which, while minor, becomes frustrating when repeated multiple times a day. It’s also somewhat redundant, as I’ve already selected to connect to the VPN and am ready to enter the token—why should another action like manually focusing the input field be necessary?

    thanks for your input. This is a valid request and you can take that up further with your local Fortinet Sales Engineer who can then submit a New feature request (NFR). That is evaluated and if approved is included in new releases of FortiClient.
