Forticlient - Fedora 30 - Segmentation Fault

Hi,

We just purchased a Fortigate 60E POE.

And i installed the forticlient app on my Fedora 30 laptop.

The client adds a new icon to my panel, but when you click open fortigate client, nothing happens.

if you run : /opt/forticlient/gui/FortiClient-linux-x64/FortiClient

i get :

Segmentation fault (core dumped)

And in /varlog/messages :

I have seen a few posts similar to this on these forums, but no response from fortinet, or a resolution.

Please look into this, we have at least 10 linux users that need to connect to our fortigate.

Same problem: segmentation fault starting FortiClient!

    3/1/20 11:11 AM    kernel    FortiClient[2860]: segfault at a4fa30 ip 0000000000a4fa30 sp 00007ffedc2aab58 error 15 in FortiClient[200000+1602000]

Cannot connect to VPN at work from my home Linux because of that, must fall back to Windows.

Seems  like the forum is dead and fortinet offer no solution.

For ubuntu users, they can use the following installer: https://hadler.me/linux/f...t-sslvpn-deb-packages/ and use any of the installers located in section: Update 14.4.2017 (build on Ubuntu 16.04) . I have personally tested it on ubuntu 19.10 and it is working correctly.

For fedora users, they can use the following link to perform the installation: https://videlcloud.wordpress.com/2017/10/16/instalar-forticlient-en-linux-fedora/

I hope my answer helps someone.

    You could try this package:

    sudo dnf -y remove forticlient
    sudo dnf -y install https://filestore.fortinet.com/forticlient/downloads/FortiClientFullVPNInstaller_6.4.0.0851.rpm
