Forticlient 5.6 - Save Credentials

Hi,

I was not using Forticlient as SSL VPN Client was lighter and without any security stuff.

Actually, password is saved only after a sucessfull VPN connexion, but if users type something on password case (and they did...), password is wrong and they have to input it again (20+ characters...)

As SSL VPN Client is no longuer support, I would like to able to save login AND paswword in Forticlient on VPN profile.

Thanks !

    Hello Baptiste,

You can save the credentials, you must enable the function on BOTH FortiClient and FortiGate.

On FortiGate you will find it under "SSL-VPN Portals" (in your portal)

On FortiClient you will find the "Save Password" when you create the tunnel profile.

If you are using EMS you must enable "Show "Remember Password" Option" which you will find under "Advanced Settings" when you create your tunnel profile.

    Hello Selective,

    Thanks for your answer

    I'm not using EMS.

It's already enable on FGT side.

On Forticlient side (forticlient 5.6.0 build 1075), I can't  save password when a setup a new connexion.

Password will be saved only after a successfull connexion

With SSL VPN Client, if user type something on Username/IP/password, user just have to select the profile (connection name) to have good input.
