Forti AP Country code

Hello,

 

I want to known if it is possible to force a FortiAP221C-T to work without issue in Europe or US. After some tests, when I try to set the "country" (US, GB, FR...) in the wtp-profil or/and in the wireless-controller settings, the managed Forti AP appeared in red as "TW" in the GUI (Wifi Controller/Managed Access Points/ Managed FortiAPs).

 

Fortiwifi 60C : v5.2.11,build754

Forti AP : FP221C-v5.2-build0262

    Some channels might still work. If you need full functions on the AP, please contact support to update your FAP region

    Hi,

    My Fortinet Partener says that it is not possible to update the FAP region! Could you confirm Fortinet support can update FAP-221C-T region without hardware change ?

    My advice: open a support call with Fortinet and state your problem. If your partner is not willing to do this for you, just do it yourself. Doesn't take much effort.
