Hello, I have a fortAP 221C.

 

I have a problem, when users enter their passwords on devices, whether cell phones or notebooks, when they enter standby or are inactive, the captive portal asks for passwords again, is there any setting where I can leave the wifi active after Enter the Password In the captive portal? Every time we have to type the password.

    We figured the same and noted to our sales people that's the limitation of captive portal. The problem with captive portal, I think, is unlike WPA2 PSK, which each client device remembers and automatically returns once you put in, the wifi itself is already connected before the user is authenticated by whatever the authentication method is. It's one layer (or much more) above the wifi so the client device can't feed the password automatically. The login page at least needs to be opened.

    Hi all,

    I have a DNS problem with my FAP 221-C configuration.

    All works fine, I have acces to my network and Internet.

    The problem is that I can ping any equipement using the IP Address but not using the netbios name.
