Forigate Switching forti-link explanations

Hi, in the forti-link operating mode the rules on the traffic on the ports (ips, av, webfilter, etc.) of the switch are defined on the fortigate, but the traffic is analyzed by the fortiswitch or the fortigate? What is the mode of operation? Is the fortigste loaded by the traffic analysis process on the switch ports? Thanks
