Question

Firewall Logout

Does anybody know of a way to logout of the firewall? What I' m talking about is user authentication for " internet" access. We have authentication enabled for outbound internet usage and I' m looking for a way for the user to logout on their own. This really would come in handy for shared workstations so we wouldn' t have user X browsing the internet on user Y' s credentials.

Are your clients using static IP addresses or DHCP ?

DHCP. I' ve got a couple hundred users that authenticate (LDAP to eDir) to gain access to the Internet. There are certain, " public" machines that we want to be able to logout when a user is done with it so the next user has to authenticate under their own credentials. Right now, we' ve got the " Authentication Timeout" set to 90 minutes but we would like to run it up to 240 minutes. That is more in line with our Corporate Philosophy but even the 90 minutes is too long. Some areas (our training room for example) have classes just minutes apart.
