file download slow

Hi,

My speedtest shows 50 Mbps bandwidth .But when downloading files i am getting very low speed .

To isolate the problem bypassed fortigate , then speed was ok .

Traffic shaping policy is enabled on FG

How to troubleshoot .

Disable traffic shaping policy on FG and test again.

Check for fragmentation. MTU size.

Check for duplex/speed mismatch - both sides of the fgt connection (e.g. lan side -> fgt < wan).

e.g. From the CLI: diag hardware deviceinfo nic <interface name>

You are looking for any error counters that increase over time.

Do keep in mind that depending on how the UTM features are applied to the traffic it will slow down the throughput somewhat.
