Did you format the hard disk when you upgraded ? Is there is a link you can give us to a public PDF file that you have the problem with, i can try it on my unit here and see what happens..

I had similar problem with the pdf files and some doc files in emails. The problem was in 2.8MR3 when I activated the add signatures in email in the protection profiles. Marco A. Barrios Infraestructure Senior FCSE - MCP

We have the same problem with FG 200 2.8 build 219. All pdf files goes corrupt if we sent them out through smtp and the Protection Profile is set to scan these files. If I disable the Protection Profile everything works.

We have this problem, too. Have you upgraded to MR5? Did this resolve the problem? Thanks, Sylvia.

We are using FG500 2.80 MR5 and are experiencing loss of PDF files downloaded via HTTP also. With the antivirus protection policy in place the downloads are EXTREMELY slow, the client does not see anything in their browser for up to 5 minutes. Then if they are lucky the PDF will show up (PDF < 1MB!) If I bypass the antivirus scan for the site containing the PDF file it downloads INSTANTLY over our connection. Re-enabling the antivirus brings back the bad behaviour. I cannot keep bypassing av for all sites that have PDF files on them. This is not a good solution.

Hmm... Having seen many instalations, I have never had such problem (from 50 to 1000). At least with 2.5 Mr10 and 2.8 mr5. On the other hand I only look the 1st MB and then release it. (AV config HTTP 1mb) Could it be the proxy in the midle?

I' ve seen this too on an FGT 200 w/ 2.50 MR 5. I had to disable the AV scanning on HTTP. It also affected other downloads. One possible workaround that I may have discovered is to decrease the disk oversize threshold under Anti-Virus | Config | Config. I have http at 20,21 and FTP at 20,21. This seems to have helped at downloading large EXE' s (such as HP/Compaq ServicePaq' s. I need to test this further with a PDF. regards, Jim

When emailing out pdf' s it tells me that it has email exceeded file limit but my email is set to 12 mb even though it will only send out 5 mb through the internet. i am using v2.8 mr? any help would be appreciated. It does, and occasionally you will get an answer here. But this is not an official means of support. This is a user support forum where users help other users. Official support is e-mail, phone, or support ticket via your support page.

It seems that after having had updated my virus definitions, the previous fix is broken. I posted this because it' s interesting a mere anti-virus update broke my ability to ftp download " large" exe files (approx. 45 MB). best regards, Jim

ditto on download problems f400 2.80 / 318 downloading PDF 2-3M files or larger via http stop downloading arbitrarily and pdf file is " corrupted" (also from apple.com large files " .dmg" ) turned off virus and IPS...still have same issues) opened support ticket = 28718 note: uploading problems are still under evaluation but symptoms are similar new observation: disabling the protection profile on the interfaces in question allow the downloads to work...limited testing but it looks favorable...some of you may ask, " why does one want an f400 without " protection profiles" enabled?" ...reasonable question...
