FG400D really without any local storage whatsoever?

Hi there,

 

Does the FG400D really have no local storage?? If true:

- What is the purpose of that design?

- How will Fortiview work? Will it be in RAM?

- What about the traffic log??

- And the daily security report?

- Are you supposed to work solely with syslog or FAZ?

    Hi,

     

    the 400D ist mainly a 300D with more ports and no local storage - due to NP6 design it features more throughput then...

     

    The purpose of the design ist to have a model with a lot of ports and more networking bandwidth at a lower price. For logging and proper reporting you will need Fortianalyzer!
