FG300D for site to site tunnel

I have one old FG300D lying around in my office.

Can i still use it to setup site to site IPsec tunnel with a remote office ?

there is no active license subscription on the firewall any more

Hi,

 

yes, IPSec vpn does not need any license and could run from the current firmware on device.

do i have to configure firewall rules etc ... ?

Hi,

 

If you are using the vpn wizard for config, all the rules and routes should have been automatically populated. But if configuring everything manually, firewall rules are essential to allow traffic across the sites.
