On my FG100D i've 9 AP regullary conected and the are working very weel.

I've installed 2 new forti AP, but FG100D can't find them to authorize.

I've tried to insert manually the serial number but FG says me that isn't a valid serial number

the serial is FP221ETF18086404

what can i do to solve this problem???

Go to CLI and run commands below:

    xxx-fg1 # config wireless-controller wtp-profile xxx-fg1 (wtp-profile) # show | grep 221E         <- be aware the case sensitivity     edit "FAPU221EV-default"             set type U221EV     edit "FAPS221E-default"             set type S221E     edit "FAP221E-default"             set type 221E

If you don't see anything above, your FortiOS is too old to support FAP-221E. You need to upgrade the 100D first. We're running 5.6.6 but 5.4 might support it as well.

If your AP is a FAPU-221E then you will need to upgrade your FortiGate to 5.6.6 or 6.0.3 (or later).

Info can be found here: https://docs.fortinet.com/uploaded/files/4783/fortiap-u-v5.4.5-release-notes.pdf
