Question

Fedora 40 can not connect to services behind vpn using domain names

According to this bug ticket 876539 and this post  I have finally resolved my issue after many years. I could not connect to some web pages, services behind vpn  via its domain names but only with its IP addresses. What helped me was to use this solution . Right now I am using Fedora 40 and Forticlient 7.2.4. Would it be possible to implement this solution for next version of Forticlient ? I think that this bug could be solved.

It might fail to connect when you resume from sleep because it tries to connect too quickly to the VPN before you have internet, but if you turn off auto-reconnect for your basic network, I find it works well after that. I usually click the Wi-Fi menu, choose my network, and then it connects to VPN successfully. You might not run into those issues though, just an FYI https://tutuapp.uno/ .
