FCUpdater.exe ?

Hello,

 

We have to update FortiClient from a rather old version (4.3.3) to the newest one on about 350 computers with as little disruption to the end user as possible.

 

I have noticed that the built-in updater looks for updates (after switching this on) and runs a program called “FCInstallerLight.exe” which only requires one reboot and the user to press “Yes” once which is the best option I have found so far.

 

My question(s) are:

  • Can I get a copy of that EXE to push out to my end users and have them decide when to update?
  • Does anyone have a better idea? We are only using the VPN so don’t have EMS available[/ul]

     

    Any help would be appreciated.

    The FortiClient light installer is available for download on FortiClient.com.

     

    The latest production version of FortiClient is 5.4.2. As you are coming from FortiClient 4.3.3, you may want to try the upgrade on one or two computers, to see if it works the way you are accustomed to.
