Enable SSL VPN Checkbox Missing

Hello all! This is my first FortiNet firewall. I have a FortiGate 80C. I am trying to setup the SSL VPN and all the documentation I have read says I need to enable the SSL VPN feature. 1 Go to VPN > SSL > Config. 2 Select Enable SSL-VPN. 3 Select Apply. I don' t have that option on that screen. I skipped that step and went ahead with the rest of the documenation. When I go to the web address for the SSL portal, the web site can' t be found. I tried running the CLI command in the documenation that but didn' t seem to help. I opened a ticket with tech support 3 days ago and I haven' t heard back. By the way, is that typical of FortiNet support? I am on v4.0,build0441,110318 (MR3). I would appreciate any help! Thanks, Jamie

    Welcome to the forums. Take a peek here. As far as support goes, it' s hit or miss depending on the area. Many folks here have had experiences such as you have had, unfortunately... The forum will turn out to be your friend.

    Thank you for the response! I did check that out and it doesn' t apply. I have SSL-VPN as an action. I also have a user, the user is added to a SSL VPN group, and I have a policy setup for the SSL. Still can' t get any response when I browse to the https://IP:10443 address. That is unfortunately about the response time. It was the reason I left the last firewall vendor. Jamie

    I figured it out myself. My problem was this... I had a Virtual IP setup for a web server on my public IP address. I did not have port forwarding turned on. So I think that the VIP was hogging all ports coming into my public IP. So I made two VIPs with port forwarding turned on, one for 80 and one for 443, for my web server. Made them into one VIP group. Changed my firewall policy to point to the new VIP group. And now when I browse to my public ip with port 10443, it works! Granted now I have an authenication problem, but progress was made. :) Jamie
