EMS linux 7.4.3 unable to access GUI with admin username

Hello,

We deployed an instance of EMS to a Linux environment and can not access to GUI with the admin username and blank password.

Access to EMS is only possible through ESXi environment by using ems username.

has anyone encountered this problem?

We solved the problem by removing and attaching the NIC .

Try reset the password from CLI:

I received the bellw error

Installation was finished successfully at the beginning. I even uploaded the license.

Still unable to access GUI.

are you sure about the admin user being created/used ?

from the official documentation, it only says to use user ems https://docs.fortinet.com/document/forticlient/7.4.3/ems-administration-guide/182605/deploying-ems-as-a-vm-image#:~:text=logon%20page%20displays.-,Log,-in%20to%20the but nothing about admin existing/use.

you could do a, cat /etc/passwd or cat /etc/shadow to see the users that exist

In that case I suspect your EMS software installation didn't succeed at 100%.

There should be some EMS installation logs under /opt/..[EMS].. or /var/log/..[EMS].. that should show you if any error has occurred during installation.

Otherwise retry the installation and see if you have any error message during the installation process.
