Does FortiGate/FortiWiFi 50/51E feature FortiASIC SoC2 or newer?

Dear all,

I can't see this in the PDF brochure for this product and was wondering if it features FortiASIC SoC2 or newer implementation of the SoC. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

30E and 50E do not feature the upcoming SoC3 ... Latency numbers might tell its a software driven firewall - Not yet had one in my hands to tell..

SoC3 is not finished yet and might drive E platforms like 60E and 70E

I think I've heard that they are using a SoC3 but it's evident anyway from the throughput figures.

Compare AV and IPS throughput with SoC2 (D series) models, indicates a more powerful CPU is used.

Thanks, I noticed the Firewall Latency has increased considerably though.

60D = 4 μs

50/51E = 180 μs

Does 60D has NP which reduces the latency in the processing?
