DNS configuration in fortiADC v5.2.2

I know it has been about a year later but in current firmware of FADC is pretty much the same config. For the FADC to work as a DNS server you have to configure the DNS zones with the respectives registers for the domains it would answer, the Global DNS policy which associates traffic allowed to query Zones and the General DNS settings which is used for the traffic that doesn't match any policies, also specifies IPv4 support, in which interface would the service be listening and what to do with queries it doesn't know the answer.
