Question

disable option: set nat-source-vip wile converting in Forticonverter 5.3

HI,

I wonder if someone can help me as i am doing a conversion from ASA to fortgate and I've 30,000 rules and converter automatically enabling the "set nat-source-vip enable" option under VIP's which i wanted to disable automatically to control things and as there are so many rules it quite hard to do it manually.

I was wondering is there a way of doing it before converting the configuration.

2ndly is there a way i can shuffle the rules in forticonverter to sort things out instead of importing them in to firewall and then do it.

    hi,

    and welcome to the forums.

I would think that enabling this option is correct. Otherwise, traffic would not match the way you'd expect it to do if there are policies in an interface pair which use VIPs.
