Hi ,

I am having issues with this error.

Day one i am able to connect with it.

However after my laptop updated its system ,

suddenly i am unable to connect at all and the same error pops up.

I have tried different Wi-fi , still the same error.

I have also checked with my company support , they said my credentials all matched on their end.

So i do not know what is wrong , i have tried some of the  solution posted in this forum still not able to resolve it.

Hello @NyetOggie ,

This error is usually caused by incorrect port or portal configuration. Have you checked the port settings on FortiClient? Sometimes, even if you enter a custom port, it can still revert to 443.

Hi , i have tried uninstalling and installing forticlient back , restoring my portal configuration from IT Support file that they gave me.
supposedly everything should follow the configuration.

Even the port is correct.

Currently me and my IT support colleague is so confused as we tried everything we could.

The only hope is waiting for the Fortinet Engineer to reply my ticket.

However i wanted to try troublehshooting on my own first.

If you have any other suggestions , i really appreciate the information.

I think we got the same or similar error when the server cert the SSLVPN config was using got broken after the FGT upgrade. But if that's case not only you but everybody else should have the same problem so your IT support should have known already.

Since you said it suddenly started after the last update (I'm assuming a Windows machine), is it possible to rollback to the previous version and try again? If that fixes the issue, the last update was indeed the culprit.

hi,

i recall a situation described somewhere that dell optimizer might cause issues.

try stopping/uninstalling that if you have it.
