CPU Hit on Software Switch vs Hardware Switch

Hello all,

First time posting.

I have a question that I can not seem to find the answer to.

What is the CPU hit for using a software switch compared to a hardware switch.

it explains what is going on, but doesn't give any details on what exactly the CPU hit will be: 10%, 20%, .., 100%?

im afraid you wont get an actual answer. been working with FortiGates for some time now, but stuff like this you will need to experience, there are no calculators, tools or such that tell you.
