Connecting MPO Breakout cable from Switch to Fortinet, Is it supported on 200F?

Hi Everyone!

Would like to ask if anyone had experience connecting a breakout cable LC to Fortigate 200F
The breakout Cable in question is the HPE/Aruba K2Q46A MPO to 4 LC.
This will be connected on an Aruba Switch using JH233A MPO Qsfp+ so the LC side will be on the Fortinet using a fortinet 10GBase-SR  Sfp+ transciever FTLX8574D3BCLFTN.

Would this work having the Aruba switch do the splitting to 4x 10G per breakout cable?

Your thoughts on this is much appreciated.

Thanks

I’ve set up similar links before. In theory, using an MPO to 4xLC breakout to connect an Aruba switch to a FortiGate 200F with 10GBase-SR SFP+ modules should work, as long as link settings (speed/duplex) and optic compatibility are aligned. Just make sure both ends negotiate 10G correctly per lane. Testing the setup beforehand is always a good call.

Thanks Steve Markovick for your reply,

In theory it seems pretty straightforward since the fortinet will just see a 10G LC fibre coming in, just wanted a confirmation from someone who has had experience in doing so before purchasing the lot.

Thanks again
